THE GARDENS:
We have a number of garden beds: flowers surround the house and garage/barn area, and there are several vegetable plots. Our gardens attempt to model a style of agricultre in harmony with the land, one that is sustainable for the environment and sustaining for the humans involved.

Part of the Shepherd's Corner mission is to "recreate the land's wholeness by rediscovering the life-giving harmony between the people and the land." Perhaps nowhere is this more easilty seen than in the act of gardening, where human efforts help to increase the bounty of the Earth. Our gardens include:

The Hope Sprouts Community Garden, which serves the immigrants of Columbus

The Beanfield, a showy test site for "no work" gardening

Two greenhouses which help extend our growing season

The House Garden which features a huge variety of heirloom plants
