Labyrinth Walks

By far our most popular programs have been the Labyrinth Walks scheduled monthly throughout the year.

The one on August 12, was timed to celebrate the Perseid Meteor Showers which occur yearly during August. We began at 8:00 pm with a group prayer at the entrance to the Labyrinth, followed by Sister Jane Belanger, OP offering a blessing to each person as he or she entered the path.

Cloud cover prevented our seeing either the full moon or the meteors, but we were reminded that faith in the presence of the unseen moon and meteors is an image of the faith which had prompted us to come here to pray together to an unseen but always present God.

The next Labyrinth Walk was held on Sunday, September 21, to celebrate the Autumn Equinox. One of the largest groups we have ever had came to welcome Fall and turn with the seasons on an evening that celebrated the balance of day and night, heat and cold.
